(1947-    ) Canadian writer whose novels have been sf or associational but many of whose stories – including his first, "Of Children in the Foliage" for Aurora: New Canadian Writing 1979 (anth 1979) ed Morris Wolfe, and Shadow of Ashland (1985 IASFM as "Ashland, Kentucky"; exp 1996) – are fantasy.
